My art career began in 1964 with drawings of Godzilla in battle with squadrons of fighter jets. Fellow first graders were my early collectors for these scenes of chaos; all free for the asking. At the time, no one knew I'd rather draw cars and castles, but the Godzilla drawings were so popular and made my friends so happy, I couldn't resist. Elizabeth...No, thankfully this one is not in limbo! This painting was a 50th birthday present which is why I didn't mark it as "sold." Thanks! Annie, I appreciate your comment, especially since you've lived in Venice. This was the first 'water' painting I ever did. I still like it, although I think I have improved my technique on water a bit since then.

Nice color contrast of the water in the shade of the building with the water in the sun... I lived in Italy for 5 years and I miss Venice. Nice job on this. :)
